About
A passionate and caring professional who would probably do anything constructive to make ends meet. Currently Postgraduate student at the University of Nairobi studying Development Communication. Undergraduate of Maseno University in Mass Communication and Media Technology with I.T. He has successfully worked in Kenyan media houses like The Kenya News Agency (which also runs the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation-KBC) as a reporter/journalist in 2008. Has been a reporter with Daily Nation too. Among the most challenging experiences include live broadcasting for QFM during the 2010 Kenyan Referendum.

After working for the media industry for four years in the field, James moved to start  the Modest Professionals company based in Nairobi Kenya called focusing on PR events and media productions as an independent/Freelance producer. One of the most loyal customers of the Company to date remains UWEZO Kenya, WERK and the ministry of state for the development of Northern Kenya and other arid and semi Arid lands.

Striking the balance

Doubling  as a freelance journalist and an academic research writer consultant, James engages in several other activities in building the nation.

Lecturer

He is a part time Lecturer at the Technical University of Kenya, teaching broadcast media production specialized in Television and Film production.

COTU (Kenya)

He was also the corporate communications officer at the Central Organization of Trade Unions (Kenya) - COTU (K).

Other engagements

Away from the journalism career, the versatility of the young man made him realize his talent in Music which he also studied at a degree level (alongside that of Journalism) at Maseno Univerity. He has produced several music albums for various groups and churches. James is also proud because God has enabled him prosper as a Music trainer, piano accompanist and a talented singer.
